First of all can I congratulate Year 11 on a very enjoyable last day in school and wish them all the best with their forthcoming exams. I would encourage Year 11 to take advantage of all the revision sessions and additional lessons that remain on offer to support them in preparation for their exams.  A big thank you also to Mrs Griffiths and Mr Moriarty for putting on such an excellent assembly.

Today, Friday 10 May 2013, is an exciting moment for Cardiff High School as the 2013 Estyn Inspection Report is published and can be viewed at www.estyn.gov.uk  It was an extremely successful inspection for the school and we are very proud of the recognition the school has received. In the report, the quality of teaching is desscribed as being ‘consistently high’ and the quality of care, support and guidance as ‘highly effective’.  The school was seen as having ‘an inclusive ethos contributing significantly to pupils positive attitudes and learning’.  The report reflects the hardwork and dedication of all staff in Cardiff High School and notes the contribution pupils made to the school.

I hope you will take the time to read this Inspection Report and feel proud that Cardiff High School is part of this community.  Thank you to all parents, governors and members of the community who supported us throughout the process and contributed to our success.
