Literacy Intervention

This is for pupils whose reading or spelling age, or both are below Standardised scores of 85 or equivalent ages of approx. 9 years.  (We use results from the Year 6 LNF tests and a spelling test completed at the start of Year 7).  The pupils who have this input are taught in very small groups of 2 or 3 pupils, some are 1:1.  The pupils receive a targeted individual literacy programme and are usually pupils who have received similar input at Primary school.  These sessions take place weekly or fortnightly.

NB: Parents will be notified by letter prior to any input.
