The Estates Department Function
The Estates Department provides a number of essential services to the school and is responsible for managing, maintaining and developing the infrastructure and building fabric of the school estate. It is also responsible for maximising the school estate's usage outside normal hours by hiring out its facilities to external organisations. The department currently consists of an Estate Manager and 18 members of staff who are responsible for providing maintenance and housekeeping services to the school.
The maintenance team consists of 3 Estates Officers who carry out a variety of tasks around the school including emergency repairs, cyclical and preventative maintenance, decoration, security, waste management, portering and driving.
The housekeeping team consists of a cleaning supervisor and 14 cleaners who are responsible for ensuring that the school estate is cleaned to the best possible standard on a daily basis.
